What a difference a year makes. As late as last year, we were still working to convince client organizations of the very real dangers of failing to configure MFA on cloud and remote access accounts. A few harried months later and the latest threat on the cyber landscape is once again making headlines with highly sophisticated phishing mails and an attack chain that successfully evades none other than yesterday’s hero, multifactor authentication.
